Let’s get your organisation to flow

At its core, an organisation is made up of a series of flows—strategy flows to execution, customers flow from enquiry to contract to delivery to invoicing, staff flow into, up and out of your business. Our Workflow Assessments delve into the people, processes and technology which make up and support these flows to identify the root cause of friction, leakages and inefficiencies.

Our expertise in cognitive science, people and culture and process optimisation empowers our team to get to the crux of your workflow challenges. Armed with the results from the workflow root cause analysis, we work with you to co-develop an improvement plan to drive up the productivity, performance and profit at your organisation.

“Kognitive have given us clarity into how we can improve our internal processes to drive up productivity and performance.”

FROM ONBOARDING TO OFFBOARDING

If you’ve got a great strategy, but your execution is lagging, it’s likely your strategy workflow is letting you down.

If you’ve got great products and services but low customer satisfaction or sales conversion, there’s likely some friction in your customer workflow.

If your staff engagement scores or retention rates are lower than desired, your staff workflow could be causing some complications.

Our strategy workflow assessment reviews all links in the chain to identify the challenges and opportunities in bringing your strategy to life. From the way strategy is created, documented and communicated, to the way goals are set and action aligned, we review your strategy workflow and help you build practical tools to improve its execution.

We’ll review each step of the process of your customer journey from initial interest to purchase to delivery to money in the bank. We’ll map how your tools, processes and people interact to facilitate this flow. We'll identify where there are opportunities for improvement and how you can make the customer journey as efficient, seamless and profitable as possible.

We’ll begin by assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of your recruitment process, through to onboarding, upskilling, career growth path, performance management and offboarding. We’ll research the interplay between your data, systems, processes and people to identify the opportunities for improvement in your staff workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions.

What is a Workflow Assessment?

What is a Workflow Assessment?

A Workflow Assessment is an analysis which maps your current workflows and the interplay between people, processes and technology. It identifies current inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. A report is submitted which highlights the current state, the desired state and key improvement initiatives to help you make the transition. The findings are unpacked during a debrief workshop where we refine and prioritise improvement strategies into a pragmatic action plan.

How do I know if I have problems within my workflows?

How do I know if I have problems within my workflows?

Inefficient workflows usually result in a lower than desired profit margin. Other common symptoms you may observe include:

  • Strategy workflow – missing company targets, delayed execution of new strategic direction, declining or low revenue per employee ratios, lack of staff alignment.
  • Customer workflow – low customer satisfaction or NPS, low sales win rates, increasing debtor days, staff struggling to find reliable internal data.
  • Staff workflow – high staff turnover and absenteeism rates, increasing recruitment costs, low engagement scores, damage to your market reputation.
Do I need to assess all three workflows?

Do I need to assess all three workflows?

No, not at all. We recommend you complete the analysis which makes most sense for your business goals and challenges. If you are looking for a broader assessment of your internal operations consider our Productivity Pulse or the Productivity Diagnostic. Book a discovery call to evaluate what makes most sense for you or conduct our low cost, low risk Productivity Health Check to get started.

How long does it take to complete a Workflow Assessment?

How long does it take to complete a Workflow Assessment?

Turnaround time depends on the size and complexity of your organisation, but the average turnaround time is 2–4 weeks per assessment.

How do the Workflow Assessments differ from the diagnostic tools?

How do the Workflow Assessments differ from the diagnostic tools?

The Workflow Assessments as dive deep into one area (or workflow) in the organisation, whereas the Productivity Pulse and the Productivity Diagnostic conduct a more holistic, broader review of the organisation's internal operations.

If you know you would like to improve a specific workflow or have already identified you are facing challenges in a particular workflow (such as the way strategy flows to execution or the way customers flow from enquiry to delivery to payment), then the Workflow Assessments will be the best tool. If you are looking for an organisational wide view of your operational performance then the Productivity Pulse or the Productivity Diagnostic will be the best tool. If you’re unsure which option will best meet your needs, book a discovery call and we’ll help you evaluate what most sense.

Does the Workflow Assessment provide recommendations on how we can improve our execution?

Does the Workflow Assessment provide recommendations on how we can improve our execution?

In our experience, firm recommendations are often ineffective because they don’t take into consideration your context, constraints and complexity. Instead of providing rigid recommendations, we find it more effective to provide you with improvement initiatives for consideration. In the debrief workshop we help you evaluate these options and evolve the most relevant strategies—together—to meet your specific needs.

How much do the Workflow Assessments cost?

How much do the Workflow Assessments cost?

Fees for Workflow Assessment vary depending on the size and complexity of your organisation. Book a discovery call to evaluate the options and confirm the pricing for your organisation.
